Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After arriving in Kathmandu, Binay Lama from Sacred Himalaya will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can rest or explore the city’s tourist hub, Thamel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by Binay Lama, featuring authentic Nepalese cuisine that will introduce you to the country’s food culture.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Monjo: Start Your Epic Himalayan Adventure Trekking
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for an early morning flight to Lukla. Enjoy one of the world’s most stunning air routes over snow-capped and green Himalayan peaks, landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport. Upon arrival, meet your trekking crew, organize your kit, and after lunch, begin a 4–5 hour trek to Monjo (2860m). The trail is mostly easy, with gentle downhill sections, scenic river crossings, and ancient mani stones, offering your first immersive experience of the Khumbu region.

Day 03: Monjo to Thamo (3600m) – Explore Sherpa Villages & Scenic Trails
Your first full day of trekking begins with a steady climb to Namche Bazaar (3440m), where you’ll pause for lunch. The trail is lush and green, and with a keen eye, you might catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest. After lunch, continue winding through scenic trails to Thamo, a traditional Sherpa village, where we’ll stay overnight. Most trekkers continue further, but tonight we rest in Thamo.

Day 04: Thamo to Thame (3800m) – Explore Sherpa Villages & Lawudo Monastery
After breakfast, we’ll visit Lawudo Monastery, where Lama Zopa Rinpoche has spent extensive periods in retreat (lawudo.com). After enjoying the monastery, we follow the Bhote Koshi River to Thame. Along the way, cross a thrilling suspension bridge high above the river, then climb to the Sherpa village of Thame, historically important as a junction of trekking routes from Rolwaling via Tesi Labcha and Tibet via Nangpa La. Just above the village lies a splendid gompa that rewards trekkers with panoramic views of Ama Dablam. This trek offers a perfect blend of Sherpa culture, Himalayan landscapes, and spiritual experiences.

Day 05: Thame to Sundar Peak (5371m) – Acclimatization Climb & Sherpa Village Life
Today starts with an early morning ascent to Sundar Peak (5371m), climbing approximately 1500m over 5+ hours. This climb is an excellent way to acclimatize to the high Himalayas while enjoying breathtaking panoramic mountain views. For those preferring a gentler day, you can explore Thame village, visit its traditional gompa, and experience peaceful Sherpa village life. This day perfectly balances high-altitude adventure and cultural immersion.

Day 06: Thame to Lumde (4368m) – Alpine Trails & Stunning Himalayan Views
Today’s trek from Thame to Lumde (approx. 4368m) takes you above the tree line into open alpine landscapes. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks in a massive U-shaped Himalayan valley, where grazing yaks dot the slopes and the sense of vast space is unforgettable. This section of the trek offers both spectacular scenery and a high-altitude trekking experience as we make our way steadily upward.

Day 07: Lumde (4368m) – Acclimatization Day & Scenic Tibetan Traders’ Trail
Today is an acclimatization day at Lumde (4368m). We’ll follow the Bhote Koshi River along the historic Tibetan traders’ trail towards Thokchambo and Chhule, helping your body adjust for tomorrow’s challenging pass. The distance walked will be determined by the group’s readiness. This day also allows for a bit of rest and refreshment, such as washing socks or even getting a hair wash! Immerse yourself in the serene alpine landscapes and prepare for the high-altitude trekking adventure ahead.

Day 08: Lumde to Gokyo (4790m) via Renjo La Pass (5360m) – Everest Views & Alpine Adventure
Today is a long but rewarding pass day, trekking from Lumde to Gokyo (approx. 4790m) via the challenging Renjo La Pass (approx. 5360m). This steep ascent rewards trekkers with breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After crossing the pass, descend steadily into the Gokyo Valley, famous for its pristine lakes and stunning alpine scenery. This day is a highlight of the region, combining high-altitude adventure, spectacular vistas, and the beauty of the Gokyo lakes, weather permitting.

Day 09: Gokyo Valley Exploration – 5th Lake & Cho Oyu Base Camp Adventure
Today we explore the breathtaking Gokyo Valley. Early risers can trek to the 5th Lake, and if conditions allow, continue further to Cho Oyu Base Camp for a unique high-altitude experience. Unlike most treks that ascend Gokyo Ri, our route offers a different perspective of the Himalayas after completing Renjo La Pass yesterday. This day combines scenic lakes, challenging trails, and stunning mountain vistas, making it a highlight for adventurous trekkers seeking a unique Everest region experience.

Day 11: Thore/Machhermo to Phortse (3810m) – Scenic Descent & Himalayan Views

By now, trekkers often feel energized and acclimatized, ready to soak in the beauty of ever-changing mountain landscapes as we approach Phortse, a traditional Sherpa village.

Day 12: Phortse to Pangboche (3995m) – Visit the Ancient Himalayan Gompa
Today’s trek from Phortse to Pangboche (approx. 3995m) is a moderate, undulating trail with very little height gain. In Pangboche, we’ll visit the oldest gompa in the Everest region, believed to be over 350 years old, offering a fascinating glimpse into Sherpa culture and Buddhist heritage. Enjoy the serene village setting and panoramic Himalayan views as we continue our trek.

Day 13: Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp & Return – Sherpa Villages & Iconic Himalayan Views
Today we embark on one of the most rewarding side treks in the Khumbu region, trekking from Pangboche (3995m) to Ama Dablam Base Camp (approx. 4570m) and returning the same day. Along the trail, pass through traditional Sherpa villages and enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Kangtega, and other majestic Himalayan peaks. This high-altitude trek is short but steep, ideal for fit trekkers who want to experience Ama Dablam up close, one of Nepal’s most iconic mountains.

Day 14: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – Scenic Descent & Green Himalayan Trails

Day 16: Phakding to Lukla (2840m) – Final Trek Day & Celebration
Today we trek from Phakding to Lukla (approx. 2840m), covering the final less than 5 miles of our journey. This gentle descent allows trekkers to reflect on their achievement, enjoy the scenic Himalayan trails, and cherish the memories of an unforgettable Everest region adventure. Upon arrival in Lukla, the evening is reserved for celebration, with guides recommending the best spots to enjoy a trek completion party and share stories with fellow trekkers.

Day 17: Lukla to Kathmandu – Scenic Flight & Farewell from the Khumbu
Today we fly from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying one last scenic Himalayan flight over the Khumbu region. Flights can sometimes be delayed, so we learn to go with the flow and soak in the incredible views. It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to our trekking crew and fellow adventurers, marking the end of an unforgettable Everest region journey.

Day 18: Kathmandu Sightseeing – Explore Nepal’s Cultural Heart
Today we enjoy a relaxed day of sightseeing around Kathmandu, exploring the city’s rich culture, heritage, and historic landmarks. Take in the ancient temples, bustling markets, and vibrant local life that make Kathmandu a fascinating introduction to Nepal. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect on your trek, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 19: Kathmandu Shopping Day – Souvenirs & Local Handicrafts
Today is dedicated to shopping in Kathmandu, giving you the chance to explore local markets, traditional handicrafts, and souvenir shops. This day offers a relaxed end to your Nepal adventure, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the city before departure.

Today marks the end of your unforgettable Nepal adventure. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, for your onward flight. Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Sacred Himalaya. Please note that your guide has
the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns.
Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in
remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions,
health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the
itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be
flexible if required.
*****Accommodations*****
We will be accommodated in Hotel Dom Himalaya or similar hotel in Kathmandu and normal trekking lodge/
mountain hut during the Trek. On the trek accommodation is basic. All accommodations are on twin-shared
basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional £100.00. Although single
rooms are readily available in Kathmandu, and in the trekking regions at lower elevation, it might be difficult
to find them at higher elevations.
*****Meals*****
Meals During our trek, we can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well as the more common international
cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served from the tea-houses or from
a lodge menu where we spend the night whereas lunch will be in a village we pass through or it could be a
packed lunch. Please be aware that trying to accommodate dietary requirements of specific needs could
be a challenge on trek. In KTM we will be able to find everything. So some flexibility is needed.
